Rain forest

April 14-16.  They worked very hard on their rainforest book this week.  We talked about the ant, lemur, bat and frog.  We also learned about the Oval shape and the number 9.  Our sight word this week was HE.

Three cute kids working on their oval books.  We transformed ovals into a new picture.  They each shared their favorite one.

A flower
A watermelon
A seed underground.
Ants carrying leafs on their backs.

Lemurs move so slow that algae will grow on them.
 Play time.

Poison Dart frogs are found in the rain forest.
The kids traced their sight word...HE.

Playing leap frog was hilarious to watch!  They all took turns and Christopher had the easiest time jumping over but was the hardest one to jump over.  It was tough getting down into a ball and staying low to the ground.  We tried it again the next day outside were they had room to spread out and they did much better the second time around and really enjoyed it.

The letter Q.  Not so easy to say.
 Sorting and counting.

 Leap frog.  take 2.

It was so nice to go outside and enjoy the great weather.  I hope there is more fabulous weather and fun preschool days ahead. :)
