I really should write down what we learned immediately after teaching, because it's amazing how quickly I forget things. I just remember the kids had a lot of fun learning more about pumpkins, and that they LOVE to do the art projects. They are such a fun group of kids, I love teaching them. I think the pictures speak for themselves.

This craft went along with the song we learned, "5 little pumpkins sitting on a gate" Ask your child to sing it to you, it was a favorite of them all. Of course Eisley always complained that my wind sounded like a ghost, which then got Mi Na scared. :) |
| Can you tell Logan loves to be a part of preschool? |
| The kids can't resist any chance to color. |
| Then we read their pumpkin books, where they got to draw their own pumpkins. |
| Pink pumpkins for the girls, of course! |
| We had some extra time at the end, so Mi Na and Christopher continued to color. |
| Eisley said she was playing a game with Ryan, but I am pretty sure she was just talking up a storm while the wedding wiped out Ryan tried to sleep. |
| On day two we talked about rectangles. We counted, organized, rearranged. It's amazing how much fun they can have with pieces of rectangles!! |
Then we were supposed to Paint our P's with Hallowen Paint. We were out of black and orange, so I broke out my craft paint, which is completely opaque and covered up the letters. Oops. But they had fun Painting with Halloween colors! |
| This was a fun craft I would like to do again. We colored coffee filters with markers and then spritzed them with water. |
| Voila! Then they added jack o lantern faces to them when they were dry. |
My attempt at making fun jack o lantern snacks for them had mixed results. When I told them it was applesauce with orange sprinkles and raisins the boys snarfed it up. The girls claimed they loved it, but only ate half. |
There doesn't seem to be enough to fill the day, so I came up with this pumpkin craft. I was so impressed with how quickly Eisley was able to complete hers. She even helped Mi Na with hers. The boys had fun spreading theirs and then putting them back. It makes it easy to store them for next year! |
